Keep it short stupid.

January 31, 2007

I don’t want to be too emotional for this post. I was able to make one a while ago (6 long paragraphs) but the browser hanged so I thought of it as a sign on not to make a long emo one.

I was in a uber bad mood a while ago… I wanted to graduate already so that I wouldn’t see those classmates of mine anymore. I even wished that one of them would die or encounter an accident. I wanted to forget about every bad thing that has happened to me for the past months. I hated it… this feeling. This stupid mood of mine! And the reason? Of course I knew why! Ano pa ba ang dahilan? But I still kept on wondering why I kept on getting these terrible mood swings. I didn’t know what went wrong. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. I didn’t know what wrongdoings I’ve done to deserve this. I really hated the world at that time and once again, I was friends with Mr. Kutsilyo.

When I arrived home, I went bloghopping to remedy my temper. I didn’t know why but I decided to first visit and read my classmate’s blog. Lo and behold… a new post. And with that post I finally realized that the answers to my paranoid questions could just be found inside the Bible or could just be heard in last Sunday’s gospel.

“Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous; love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offence, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. Love does not come to an end.”

I recalled in our 3rd year retreat, we were also asked to change the “love” to our own names. At that time, I just laughed as I repeated that verse because I thought that it was pretty funny and silly. But just a while ago, as I tried to replace my name once again, I found myself dumbfounded… none of those words really described myself at that moment. I was not love… not even close!

So maybe that’s the reason why this things have been happening to me. I was the opposite of love…hate… therefore I was hated back. Sigh. Yun pala yun. This has been such a huge regret of mine. Well, it’s now very difficult to turn back time…but now, I want to change this attitude. I still have around a month left here in Pisay but I think it’s still not to late to turn a new leaf. Wala lang. I really, really hope that it’s not really late.

So yun lang.

Mabait sya. Super talas. Kinis ng balat. Payat. Sharp personality. Shiny…mayaman siguro. Mahilig tumambay sa kusina. Mahilig tumulong sa pagluto. And best of all, kung may kaaway ka, sya na bahala sa taong yun. O di ba! Pwedeng-pwede.

Ger. Bilang na talaga ang mga araw.

New digicam! Yay!

January 27, 2007

My mom asked me to join a raffle by Sky Cable and HBO last December 27. I was too lazy to email Sky Cable at first because I was too busy playing O2 Jam and the newspaper didn’t say what the prize was. I thought that it would just be some gift bags or something. The question was plainly easy… What is the blockbuster hit would be previewed at blah, blah, blah. And of course, the answer was found at the very ad of the newspaper. So I just thought that the prize would just be plain cheap because of that question.

Imagine my surprise when my mom told me last Thursday that we won a digicam. She claimed the prize on the next day. Imagine my higher level of surprise when I found out that it was a Sony DSC-N2! It has the touchscreen feature. You could also edit the pictures on the cam itself and it can do slideshows with music! Wicked cool. And asides from that, we also won a Sony picture printer!

Grabe! I’ve been showered with too much blessings already. First, I found out that I passed the UPCAT and ACET. Next, I have no failing grade for this quarter. Third, the Photoshop CS2 and the new digicam! Oh well. God is really cheering me up with these wonderful gifts! Masyado atang depressed at suicidal ang bata na to. Pagbigyan ko kaya sya ngayon.

I’m also thankful for some of my friends for cheering me up and listening to my problems. Syet. Some friend you are. Akala ko ba I’ll always be there when you need me. Sheesh. Gago. Muntik na. May dala pa naman akong cutter nun. Hahah. Ayun, mas lalo na ako napaiyak. Haller. Ano kaya yan.

So here are the other Fayrie plates. I was too sleepy to do the Nature one. There were a lot of brushes for the Nature but I couldn’t decide what to use because they don’t really mix-and-match that well together. I also had a hard time with her because her clothes are too complicated that’s why I decided to hide her sides with her hair. I like the Fire one… it’s my favorite photoshopped fayrie but I like original drawing of the Sky.

Wow. Haha. So ayun.

Lame internet connection

January 25, 2007

I noticed that as the days go by, my plates get more random and random. So, here. My first plate’s concept was inspired by my 2 elective classmates’ project. The second and third plate were drawings made back on October 30, 2005. It reminds me of the WITCH mag. The fire and earth ones would be the next plates.
The plates were published just now because of our lame internet connection. Lame, lame, lame. Go figure. I can’t even load my blog! Argh. So… since I can’t think of a topic, let’s waste our time!
This is from http://easywebbers.com/2006/12/10/top-ten-worst-domain-names

UPCAT RESULTS ARE OUT!

January 22, 2007

STUDENT NO. 2007-46476
UP DILIMAN CAMPUS
BS ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

When the results of the UPCAT came out online yesterday at 12 midnight, a handful of my batchmates were already looking at them, searching their names first, then their friends, and then their fellow batchmates who they thought would be Oblation Scholars. I passed at my first choice- BS ECE. I asked Gihan to ask her mom to look at my results.

However, I really wanted to find out for myself if I did pass… that’s why after classes, a few of my classmates went to the Palma Hall Annex to look at the results despite the rumors that there was a frat war going on (Luckily, there wasn’t any). Sure enough, I passed. Haha. I have a sure future na. We also counted how many of our batchmates were Oblation Scholars (Congrats to the 25 who made it! ) and those who passed INTARMED (I don’t have the exact number). I’ll post the list as soon as I have it. [EDIT: 26 pala sa Oblation. 34 sa Intarmed]

Now here’s a problem. Ateneo or UP?? (Ayoko na sa MAPUA. Sira ulo talaga ako nung pinili ko yung course ko…Triple degree course?! mamamatay ako dun) I really want to take up BS-CS in Ateneo. I also like to take ECE but I always have this strange and weird feeling that I won’t be able to handle the course. I’m thinking of shifting after a year in ECE to CS but others say that only school delinquents shift courses because they don’t know what to do in life. Ganun ba yun? Fine, I really don’t know what to do in the future. Oh well, I still have time to decide what I really want.
Well, I’m really happy for myself and for others who did make it. But somehow I felt sad too… Ano kaya mangyayari sa akin sa graduation) I think I just don’t like the thought that we’re going on separate ways. Hay. Inevitable naman talaga sya… pero… Wala lang. Pisay is such a big influence in my life. It would just be hard to let go. Haha. Ano ba yan! Magdradrama nanaman ba ako?

Oh well. Ganun talaga. OKAY! DOST naman! Kahit April pa sya, excited na ako! ^_^

Thanks talaga Lord. This has been such a great blessing!

Project CI86

January 20, 2007

I’ll merge yesterday’s post to today’s post because I really had no topic for the previous one.

Woot! I’m so happy today! …oh yeah, btw, the first plate is a random plate. Kinda reminds me of the prom. Speaking of which, my parents were able to reserve a room for me and my mom at Edsa Shang. It costs P4500 thanks to the group rate (It’s really $180 or roughly P9000). They also told me that I can get another room for me and my friends if I want. However, I doubt that the girls would want to get one due to a lot of expenses. I doubt that I could even get the dress that I like… my mom goes arguing about getting a simple one since I’m just going to use it for one night.

The next plate was just unexpected. It’s just toying around with colors and brushes and I thought, Why not make this a Pisay Series plate? And here it is. PE-ness. Seriously, I’m losing ideas for my future plates already.

Okay, going back. My dad asked me to do a website project that I call Project CI86 for his HS classmates. I gladly agreed to do it though I didn’t know really what I was supposed to do. They would just hand over to me the things and resources and I’ll be doing the dirty work. But it really excited me a lot! At least I would do something productive in my life for a change. And the price that we agreed upon is me moving within next week! Yes! I’m planning to move when my blog turns 2 months old (February 3). I’m already planning and fixing my stuff for it. Be happy for me! Wee! Oh well. Another thing gone from the wishlist. I just can’t contain my excitement! Yay! Yay! Yay!!!

Oh yeah. New layout pala. It’s a navi and a non-navi one! I figured that my sidebar was too messy so I transfered things that would seem useless to others to the navigation section. It’s also my first animated layout courtesy of Image Ready. I wanted my new skin to be something somewhat boring formal for a change. So with a bit of the flower and swirly brushes, this is what came out. This is my seventh skin and possibly my last one for this blog. There’s going to be a last layout possibly on the 3rd. Too bad, I absolutely loved the animated thingy.

It’s YMSAT this week. The images above were Rubidium o7’s Rubidigoo (Yup, until now, I still have my Rubidigoo) and Magic Squishee for the YMSAT last year. Wala lang. Time sure flies pretty fast. And now, we have this Physics magic trick thing for this year. Haha. Good luck to us.

I’ll end the post here. According to http://upcat.up.edu.ph/results/ the UPCAT results would be posted on the fourth week of January. Others say that it would still be on February so I’m not keeping my hopes that high for getting the results this week. Oh well.

Stress starts with STR

January 19, 2007

^quote from Jessica Balaquit. We were finally able to set up our STR posters at the ASTB. Yay!

First plate’s background shows different subjects that a normal HS sudent would take up: the clock symbolizes Physics; the butterfly, Biology; the bubbles, Chemistry; the words at the lower lefy, English; the equations, (obviously) Math; and the words on the right, Computer Science. The second plate was supposed to be a “hot guy” according to Tin Pascual but I decided to toy with it so now, he’s a “hot gay”. Bishounen is Japanese for a cute or good looking guy.

Well, I am relatively happy today… but there’s a little thing that I’ve realized…

(1)If an opportunity comes, seize it or you might regret it…
Ignore it if you don’t know what it means but if you’re an avid reader of the blog, you’ll know that I’ve been ranting about this ever since Christmas break.
We barely did anything today… Our schedule was shortened to make way for the YMSAT week. It was dragging only for the math long quiz. I didn’t know what to do. In ComSci, we’re already learning about PHP! Yay! Even though I don’t really know what’s it all about, it sounds pretty cool if you know how to do that language. Wala lang.
I just watched the badgerbadger thing— the one that the AdProg people of Photon were rambling about. I spent 5 minutes watching the clip. It’s pointless yet cute. http://badgerbadgerbadger.com Oh well, I’m too sleepy. Good night to all!
Badger, badger, badger. Mushroom. Badger, badger, badger. Mushroom. Badger, badger, badger. SNAKE!

For the Harry Potter version… http://thefifthdistrict.com/potter/
Potter, potter, potter. Weasley. Potter, potter, potter. Weasley. Potter, potter, potter. SNAPE!

Gusto ko ng kausap

January 15, 2007

First plate was inspired by second and third year days in Computer Science where we took up C++ and Java programming language. Second plate’s original drawing was supposed to be a prince with a weird sense of fashion but since I was too lazy to color in the details, the end result looked like he was a guy in rags or something. Third plate, according to Tin P, was emo. Nah. She’s just heart broken. I was too lazy to clean the drawing so it looks a bit messy. But I like the drawing a lot. Really matches my emotions… and it’s purple!

Ngayon, nagkakram ako ng Science and Technology Research poster para sa Youth Math, Science and Technology Week para sa susunod na linggo (Yak, pinahaba pa… pwede naman STR or YMSAT)

Anyways, emo raw ako ngayon. Sus. Bakit ngayon lang nila napapansin? Hahah, baka kasi labasan na ng grades. Syet, sobra ang binaba ko this quarter. Chemistry, Math, COM SCI. BAKIT?! Ganun ba ako kabano mag Java Script. Cmon.

Buhay… parang life.

Salamat ^_^

Sleepless and Loveless

January 14, 2007

First plate, theme inspired by the song “Bride in Dream” in O2 jam. Second plate, inspired to draw an oriental-medieval princess.

Up until yesterday, I’ve been sleep-deprived since Tuesday. Well, on the first day of my sleepless marathon may seem pretty much pointless for others. I spent the whole Tuesday night/ Wednesday early morning watching a whole anime mini-series entitled Loveless (hah! akala nyo kung anong ibig sabihin ng title no!).
The story goes like this (from Wikipedia). On his first day at his new school, 12-year old Ritsuka Aoyagi meets a mysterious 20-year old man named Sobi Agatsuma. He claims to be a good friend of Ritsuka’s brother, Seimei, who was recently murdered, and the suspicious organization called ‘Septimal Moon’ may be responsible for the death. As Ritsuka quickly finds out, Seimei and Sobi acted as a pair involved in spell battles. Now Soubi is Ritsuka’s fighter, and Ritsuka is his ‘sacrifice’. Together, they challenge the organization to find out the truth behind Seimei’s death and the reason for Ritsuka’s amnesia.

Well, I don’t recommend this for conservative people as this series is a shounen-ai (boy-to-boy relationship) and a shotacon (guy pedophilia). I think may pagka R-17 to. Ahihi. This is what Kit got me for the exchange gift asides from the Gravitation series. Oh well, what do you expect me to receive. Haha. Joke lang Kit. But I really enjoyed the series a lot. However I felt a bit cut short from the ending. Something looks missing and not everything is explained. If you guys are interested, you can but the DVD from Comic Alley but you have to ask the sales person first since you won’t find it at once at the display set.

So that’s it for that day. On Wednesday night/ Thursday early morning was a cramming night, Thursday night/ Friday early morning was our Pinoy overnight and Friday night/ Saturday early morning was the Pyro Olympics night. I was able to catch some rest for the whole Saturday and Sunday. Actually, I think I overdid it. Gah. Why do teachers have to give so much requirements!? Porket akala nila new year at wala RAW masyadong ginagawa mga tao. Oh well. That’s life. We have to accept whatever life gives us. Diskarte lang natin yun kung paano natin aayusin/gagawing matino buhay natin kapag may kasamang problema. For me, I’d like to do what Ms. Carmella says, “Have a stress-free weekend” if that is truly possible for a Pisay student.

Plates, Pinoy, Pyro and Pika

January 13, 2007

Here I am with my 2 overdue plates.
The first plate’s original drawing was made back at August 5, 2005 (naks. naalala pa). I was in third year back then. It was the day of our field trip and it kept raining outside so I was inspired to make this drawing when I reached home. This plate also made me want a graphic tablet more. It’s pretty hard to outline the drawings using a mouse only that’s why the end result was so crappy. Hmmm, how about that for a birthday present for myself? teehee ._.
The second plate’s original drawing was created 2 years ago. I was in second year at that time. My inspiration here was my roommate who just told me about something na nakakakilig with her crush. They were stargazing together at the AstroSoc overnight camp. Aheheh. 07, kilala nyo ba sila?
I enjoyed doing those plates because each drawing reminded me about my second and third year days. BTW, I just want to share… these are my favorite sections in order; Rb, Adelfa, Photon, Ruby but if I would rank how much I enjoyed my stay in Pisay as a whole; third year, second year, first year, fourth year. I just thought of that because one of my classmates mentioned that he least liked Rb. Ahahah. Oh well. Different person, different experiences, different preferences.

And we finally finished our Pinoy board game! Yay! We kinda started from scratch in AJ’s house. Good thing that our work didn’t look crammed at all! It looked pretty neat. It’s also a good thing that we were also able to submit in time.

If the person I’m refering to reads this, I don’t care and I hate you. We just signed up for a table in the prom yesterday. There were 12 of us in it and only 2 had dates. Ikee. Sino kaya sila. Haha, so going back, I really don’t know whether I want to go or not. I just hate a certain person who would always open his/her big mouth about the prom without thinking that he’s/she’s hurting someone else with what he/she says. At magpaparinig ka pa. Ger. Gusto mo talaga akong magalit sa iyo no?! Bad trip ka talaga.

Anyways… ignoring that.

My mom, brother and I went to the Pyro Olympics yesterday which was held at SM Mall of Asia. We missed the first show because there was a heavy traffic going there. I’m really thankful that we took the MRT. I actually complained when we left home on why my mom didn’t plan to take a taxi. Ahahah. It’s too bad that I didn’t take my camera along with me. The fireworks were really so nice and pretty! It was my first time to see those many fireworks up so close.

After the last show by Canada, we ate at Cafe Breton at MOA. Then, we went shopping for a while and these are some of the things I bought.

I got that Pikachu from Comic Alley in MOA… It wasn’t sold in SM North that’s why I decided to buy it. It’s compostion is just the same as a therapy pillow. So cute, soft and huggable!

I liked the glowing thingimajig. It looks white when you don’t touch it but it separates into visible colors when you shake or move it. It reminds me of our previous lessons in Physics. How all the colors combined form white, how the colors reflect through the transparent glass in a given reflection angle, how colors separate due to refraction and how it is affected by different wave lengths and the medium’s index of refraction. Haha, nerd. The glowing horns looked pretty cool too. Hoho, scary. Really fits me, eh?Oh well, that’s it for today.
